While solar makes sense for many homes, unfortunately, we do not install on homes with slate, stone, clay, concrete, or cedar shake roofs. Drilling into these materials can cause your roofing materials to break and/or leak, resulting in costly repairs.
While your home may not be suitable for solar, Dominion Energy can still support your renewable energy and sustainability efforts. We offer several energy savings programs, including 100% Renewable Energy, all designed to help you reduce your energy usage and carbon footprint.
Unfortunately, we can only offer rooftop solar to property owners and/or homeowners as they own the roofs where we will install panels.
Dominion Energy currently services residents across Virginia and parts of North Carolina

We look forward to working with you and designing a system that meets the electrical needs of your home. Let’s book a call that works for your schedule.
First, we need a picture of your most recent power bill. You can take a picture of either your digital or physical bill. The most important information from this bill is your Usage History – this will help us right size your solar system.
Next, we need a clear photo of your fuse box (with the door open). This helps us understand your home’s electrical capacity and plan the installation accordingly.
Now, let’s get outside! Please take some wide shots of your roof. It’d be great to get one picture from each side of the home. We want to get an idea of your roof’s pitch and make note of any vents or plumbing we’ll have to work around.
